However, both sides are blaming each other for instigating the clash.

A local official in the Pakistani border area said that a civilian was killed by a mortar fired by Afghanistan into Pakistan, while 12 other civilians, including women and children, were injured in the attack. He further said that the skirmish between the two sides is still going on. 

Decades old border dispute between the two countries
