The result is that hundreds of buildings have been razed to the ground. More than 1500 people have been killed in Turkey and Syria together. So far more than 5000 people have been injured due to the earthquake. The death toll is expected to increase further. Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Agency said that more than 284 people have been killed in 7 provinces of Turkey. While 440 people have been injured. 

Frank Huggerbeats, a researcher at the Solar System Geometry Survey (SSGEOS), had been continuously studying the seismic activities happening in different parts of the Earth for the last few days. Based on the same study, he warned that an earthquake of magnitude 7.5 or more could occur in south-central Turkey, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.
