GST Return The government has extended the last date for filing returns for the month of September, giving a big relief to those filing GST returns. For the past several days, consumers were facing difficulties in filing returns.

GST Return: The government has extended the deadline for filing GST returns for the month of September by one day to October 21. On Thursday, taxpayers had to face many problems regarding filing on the GST portal. Many taxpayers were complaining that the GST portal is not working properly. 

Let us tell you that yesterday was the last date for filing monthly GST returns for most of the taxpayers. But the consumers had to face many problems during the filing. After that the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) had said that extension of the due date is being considered. 

Extended GST return date

The CBIC on Friday tweeted that the GST Council has approved the extension of the due date for filing monthly returns for September 2022 from October 20, 2022 to October 21, 2022. Let us tell you that this was the last date for filing GSTR-3B return.

What is the process of filing return

Monthly Return and Tax Payment Form GSTR-3B is filed by taxpayers in different states between 20th, 22nd and 24th of each month in different ways. The GST Network (GSTN) provides the technology backend for running the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Infosys is the service provider for GSTN.
