Legends league will start in Eden Gardens, all set to take off in kolkata

For India Maharajas, Mohammad Kaif Yusuf Pathan Parthiv Patel Irfan Pathan Ajay Jadeja will play players like RP Singh while World Giants will be represented by Herschelle Gibbs Sanath Jayasuriya Jonty Rhodes Muttiah Muralitharan Brett Lee.

The second edition of the Legends League cricket will begin on Friday with a special exhibition match at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. To commemorate the 75th year of independence, this special match will be played between India Maharajas and World Giants. India Maharajas will be led by the explosive batsman Virender Sehwag of the past, while the World Giants will be led by former South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis. 

Many former cricketers will take part

Earlier the India Maharajas were to be led by former India captain and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and World Giants to be led by former England captain Ian Morgan but they withdrew due to personal reasons. 

In the exhibition match, players like Mohammad Kaif, Yusuf Pathan, Parthiv Patel, Irfan Pathan, Ajay Jadeja, RP Singh will play for India Maharajas, while herschelle Gibbs, Sanath Jayasuriya, Jonty Rhodes, Muttiah Muralitharan, Brett Lee will play for World Giants. Famous international cricketers will attend. 

Many former cricketers will take part 

This time four teams India Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Manipal Tigers and Bhilwara Kings are participating in the Legends League Cricket. The main match of the tournament will start from September 17. On that day, India Capitals and Gujarat Giants will clash at Eden itself. Each team will play each other twice before the knockaround round. The first qualifier will be held on October 2 in Jodhpur. 

The Eliminator will take place on October 3 and the final on October 5. Where the Eliminator and Final will be, it is not decided yet. Gujarat Giants is captained by Virender Sehwag. Harbhajan Singh will lead Manipal Tigers. India Capitals captain Gautam Gambhir and Bhilwara Kings' Irfan Pathan have been made.
