Shilpa Shetty denies receiving Rs 15 crore from Raj Kundra, fraud probe underway
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's lawyer has clarified that she did not take ₹15 crore from her husband Raj Kundra 10 years ago. The Mumbai Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) is investigating an alleged ₹60 crore fraud case involving Raj Kundra. The lawyer said that attempts are being made to defame Shilpa Shetty and that they will get to the root of the mischief.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's lawyer has clarified that she did not receive ₹15 crore from her husband, businessman-turned-actor Raj Kundra, 10 years ago. This transaction is now being investigated by the Mumbai Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW), as they intensify their investigation into the alleged ₹60 crore fraud case involving Raj Kundra.
₹25 crore transferred to Shilpa's account
Earlier, it was reported that money was directly transferred to the accounts of four actresses, including Shilpa, Bipasha Basu, and Neha Dhupia. Additionally, transactions were detected in the accounts of Balaji Entertainment. The EOW detected direct transfers of approximately ₹25 crore.
Lawyer gives clarification on Shilpa's behalf
Now, Shilpa's lawyer has given his clarification in this matter. He said, "There are reports circulating in the print and electronic media that my client, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, allegedly received an amount of ₹15 crore from her husband, Raj Kundra, approximately 10 years ago for a transaction that is reportedly being investigated by the Economic Offences Wing (Mumbai). First of all, we would like to state that this information is completely fake and mischievous, deliberately put into the public domain to defame my client."
Attempt to defame my client - Lawyer
The lawyer's official statement further stated, "We will get to the root of the mischief and will follow the due process of law to file criminal proceedings and civil damages against all the news articles that have been circulated maliciously to defame my client. My client never received any such amount, and at this stage, we cannot disclose anything further as the matter is sub judice. However, my client is compelled to initiate criminal and civil proceedings against all the fake media articles that have published the news without verifying the truth."
Earlier, a five-hour conversation was held with Raj regarding this matter.
