Shiv Sena won't leave my last breath, says Sanjay Raut on ED action- Balasaheb Thackeray vows

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team has reached the house of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut in Mumbai. Sanjay Raut did not appear before the investigating agency even after being summoned twice in the Patra Chawl land scam case. That is why the ED team has reached his house this morning. Sanjay Raut was furious over the ED's action. "Maharashtra and Shiv Sena will continue to fight," raut said in a tweet after the team reached his house, "I will not leave shiv sena even now." Raut wrote in another tweet, "False action, false evidence, I will not leave shiv sena, i will not leave shiv sena till my last breath."

Sanjay Raut tweeted, "I have nothing to do with any scam. I swear by Balasaheb Thackeray. He taught us to fight. I will continue to fight for the Shiv Sena."

Shiv Sena workers have gathered outside the residence of party leader Sanjay Raut as the Enforcement Directorate's search operation began. Shiv Sena spokesperson Anand Dubey said, "This is a political action to silence Sanjay Raut. The country is watching everything. People will answer this.

On the other hand, BJP MLA Ram Kadam released a video. "If the Shiv Sena leader has not misappropriated the money, why didn't he go when the ED officials called him for an inquiry three days ago? What is the reason for avoiding the questions of the officers? He has time to hold a press conference in the morning, afternoon and evening, but he does not have time to answer questions from ED officials. Doesn't the country know the truth about this? This is a changed India. In this India, be it a leader, an actor, an industrialist, small, big, all are equal before the law. The law will take its own course."

Enforcement Directorate officials reached shiv sena leader Sanjay Raut's residence around 7 am this morning. He is being questioned in connection with the Patra Chala land scam case. The investigating agency's team is accompanied by CRPF officials. The team arrived at Sanjay Raut's house in Mumbai's eastern suburb of Bhandup this morning.

Three teams of ED are searching at different places in connection with the Patra Chawl land scam case. One of these teams has reached Sanjay Raut's Mumbai residence.

Sanjay Raut had recorded his statement on July 1. He was then questioned for 10 hours. He was later summoned on July 20 and again on July 27. Raut had then said that he would not appear before the ED for the time being as parliament was in session. He said he would be able to appear only after August 7.

According to the ED, an agreement was signed between the society, MHADA and Guru Ashish Construction Company for the rehabilitation of 672 families of Patra Chawl. Guru Ashish was the director of the company rakesh wadhwan, sarang wadhwan and pravin raut of HDIL. The company is accused of misleading MHADA and depositing Rs 901 crore by selling its FSI to nine other builders, then starting a new project called Midoj and collecting Rs 138 crore in the name of flat booking. But 672 real tenants were not given their houses. In this way, the company made 1039.79 crores.

The ED has alleged that later HDIL gave Rs 100 crore to Pravin Raut, director of Guru Ashish Company, out of which Pravin Raut had given Rs 55 lakh to Sanjay Raut's wife Varsha Raut, who is part of money laundering.
