Priyanka Chopra visited Lucknow control room of Woman Power Line: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra recently visited India. In this short trip, she went to many places. These include the city of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. As the Goodwill Brand Ambassador of UNICEF, Priyanka came to Lucknow and took stock of the work being done for the education, health and safety of the children. We hear daily many stories of violence and harassment against women and girls from across India There is a lot of work that needs to be done and the most basic thing starts with protection by law and police.
The actress further added, "I got an opportunity to visit 1090 Women Power Line (WPL) Uttar Pradesh 24/7 which independently registers complaints of any kind of atrocities and sexual harassment for women met Miss Neera Rawat (IPS, Women and Child Protection Organization, UP Police) under which this wing works."
