1.6 billion dollar agreement between Infosys and Liberty Global, will expand digital entertainment and connectivity

Liberty Global, a video, broadband and communications company, and Infosys, an information technology company, on Tuesday announced a multi-year agreement worth 1.5 billion euros (about $1.63 billion), in which Liberty Global's digital entertainment and connectivity platform will be expanded.
According to a statement, Infosys will provide services to Liberty Global estimated at 1.5 billion euros over an initial five-year period and the deal will total 2.3 billion euros by the end of eight years. The two companies have signed an initial five-year agreement with an option to extend it for eight more years.
"The regulator's approval will be obtained for the arrangement," the statement said. Mike Friese, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Liberty Global, said that deepening and expanding the collaboration with Infosys will allow Solutions to reach more markets and deliver positive experiences to more customers.
Infosys Chief Executive Officer Salil Parekh said in a statement that- "The company is excited about this. This will mark a new chapter in our joint journey of innovation. The strength of our global operations will help grow the business across all markets."
