Agnipath recruitment 2022: As protests against the Centre's Agnipath scheme continued, incidents of stone-pelting and arson were reported at several places in Bihar, UP, Haryana and Telangana. According to media reports, the Indian Air Force is set to become the first service to start selection under the Agnipath scheme. The process of selection of Agnipath will start from June 24. Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary said that it is a pleasure to announce that the age for recruitment has been revised to 23 years. This will benefit the youth. The recruitment process for the Indian Air Force is starting from June 24.

On the other hand, the Indian Army has also announced about this plan. Army Chief Manoj Pandey announced that the training of Agniveers would start in December 2022 and their active service would start from 2023. So far, the central government has not issued any notification regarding the process of recruitment under the Agnipath scheme. The announcement has been made only by the Air Force Chief and the Army Chief.
