Google has introduced a great feature for its Android users. This feature has been released under the name Unwanted Tracker Detection, so that users will be able to detect being tracked by unknown Bluetooth based trackers. Only Android 13 users will be able to use this feature.
Giving information about this feature in its blog post, Google said that with the special feature being introduced for Android users, unwanted tracking from Apple AirTag tracker will also be detected. Google had revealed this feature in its annual developer conference Google IO 2023.
Bluetooth tracker will not spy
Spying on someone else won't be easy anymore with a bluetooth tracker. In its blog, Google told that Android users will get automatic alerts from any unknown tracker. An alert will pop up on the display of Android users, by clicking on which users will be able to see in the map where the tracker was present with them. Along with this, users can easily find the tracker with the option of play sound.
This unwanted tracker detection feature of Android will work like Apple's protection feature. This feature of Apple alerts users when they are tracked by AirTag. Now Android users will also get an alert about being tracked by an unknown tracker. Not only this, the serial number of the device and the last four digits of the phone number of the user keeping the tracker will also be visible along with the alert.
Rolled out for Android users, this feature will alert users when there is an AirTag around them. As soon as you detect the tracker, you can manually stop it. This allows you to stop your tracking.
