Colombo gave 'shelter' to China-built Pakistani warship Taimur, Dhaka refused because

China-made Pakistani warship Taimur is on a trip from Shanghai to Karachi these days. Built by the Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard in Shanghai, the warship departed Shanghai on June 24, on her maiden visit to Pakistan while conducting en-route exercises with Cambodian and Malaysian navies en route. Meanwhile, the warship had sought permission to stay in Dhaka. But the Sheikh Hasina government of Bangladesh did not allow the warship to stop. So right after this Sri Lanka has given permission to port this missile warship PNS Taimur in Colombo.
According to a report by the English website Hindustan Times, the Pakistani warship is expected to be at Colombo port between August 12 and 15. In fact Sri Lanka allowed Pakistani guided missile frigates to make a port call in Colombo,
Dhaka refused because of this
Earlier, the Pakistani warship was denied permission by the Sheikh Hasina government of Bangladesh to make port calls at Chittagong port from August 7-10. A Hindustan Times report, quoting diplomatic sources, claimed that India's close ally Bangladesh refused permission to PNS Taimur as August is a month of mourning for Sheikh Hasina. In the same month his father, Sheikh Mujib-ur-Rehman, affectionately known as Bangabandhu, was assassinated by Pakistan and Jamaat-e-Islami.
The Prime Minister of Bangladesh clarified that his father and family were put to death at the behest of Pakistan. Radical Islamic forces attempted to assassinate Sheikh Hasina in 2000 as prime minister and in 2004 as president of the Awami League.
Hasina coming to India in September
The Sheikh Hasina government is considered close to the Narendra Modi government. At the same time, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to visit India in the first week of September. China handed over second frigates to Pakistan
PNS Taimur is the second of the four Type 054 A/P frigates built in China. Which was handed over by China to Pakistan on 23 June 2022. The first ship of this class is PMNS Tugril and was commissioned on January 24, 2022.
