A case of kidnapping and murder of four members of the family of a resident of Tanda in Hoshiarpur, Punjab has come to light in California, USA. This family is a resident of Harsipind of Tanda. The family had shifted from Punjab to America 15 years ago. The incident took place on South Highway in Merced County, California. The local police has given information about this whole matter through a press conference. An 8-month-old girl is also among the dead.

Earlier, the police had detained a 48-year-old man, believed to be a suspect in the case. Even after this, the police was unable to find the missing family. Now this sensational revelation has created silence in the entire area. After the abduction of four family members, their relatives here are in shock. The deceased have been identified as 8-month-old Aruhi, her mother Jasleen Kaur (27), father Jasdeep Singh (36) and Taya Amandeep Singh (39). Police had received information that the family was abducted in Merced County on Monday.

Parents in shock

Jasdeep's parents Dr. Randhir Singh and Kripal Kaur are residents of Harsi Pind village in Tanda block of Hoshiarpur. Randhir Singh's neighbor Charanjit Singh said that Jasdeep's parents are in shock after the incident and are not in a position to talk. Randhir is retired from the Health Department and Kripal from the Education Department. Randhir had returned to India from America on September 29.

After returning to India, he went to Uttarakhand for pilgrimage. When he reached Rishikesh, he received a call from his daughter-in-law Jaspreet Kaur from America who informed him about the abduction of her husband Amandeep Singh and other family members. His neighbor said that on getting information about the matter, Randhir returned to the village on Tuesday evening and started preparing to go to America.

The assurance of action was received from the center

Charanjit Singh said that as soon as the matter came to light, the people of Harsi Pind and nearby villages reached Randhir Singh's house and also wished for the safe return of the abducted people. He said that Union Minister and Hoshiarpur MP Som Prakash had also called up Randhir Singh and assured him of full support from the central government. Tanda Deputy Superintendent of Police Kulwant Singh said that he had gone to Randhir Singh's house and assured him of full cooperation.
