DJ Lahar Rocks Narsinghpur With Her Festive Tunes

DJ Lahar, 28 is an inspiration for young women all over the country. She is the most energetic dancing DJ in India and has proved to be worthy of this title time and again. She is one of the first female DJs from the state of Madhya Pradesh and has established herself as an unmatched musical powerhouse. She started her career 5 years ago with the simple mantra, “Music is Life”, and has toured the country and brought everyone to their feet with her groovy tunes. 

She says, “When I started DJing, The main criticism that I would get is, “You are a woman and this field is not for you because you are a woman”. Yes, it is a baseless criticism that has nothing to do with my art and talent but it felt disheartening nonetheless. But my family always had my back and so did my team. I carried forward with their love and support and continued doing what my heart desired. I have always given my best to the opportunities I have gotten and proved my mettle as a DJ.”. 

She sure has proven herself as a DJ! She has become a mainstay in big social events like DJ Nights, weddings, parties and galas. And everywhere she goes she makes the place alive with her music. 

With her recent Dholida Garba Night event at Narsinghpur, DJ Lahar made history. The event was the biggest garba night ever in Narsinghpur history and had a whopping turnout of 5000 people! All of whom spent the night dancing to DJ Lahar’s original remixes. 

Spread out over the evening of 8th October, in the Church Ground, DJ Lahar brought the festive season to full swing in Narsinghpur. Kids, teens, college students and adults - everyone could be seen swaying to her songs and her renditions of iconic Bollywood songs like “My Name is Lakhan” and “Ramtiya”. 

DJ Lahar is on a mission to leave her mark in the world. And her success at Narsinghpur is one of the landmarks that proves that she is well on her way to international acclaim.
