A man shot and killed five people, including a three-year-old girl, in Plymouth, southwest England. Later the attacker committed suicide by shooting himself. The local police called it a serious incident.
Devon and Cornwall police said 22-year-old attacker Jack Davison first shot and killed his mother, 51-year-old Maxine Davison. He then came out of the house and killed the girl and her father. He shot and seriously injured two more people passing by. Later a woman and a man were shot. The man died on the spot, while the woman died in the hospital.
Jack Davison later shot himself too. The incident happened on Thursday evening. Police said it was not an incident related to terrorism. All this happened within six minutes. It is not known why the assailant killed his mother. Police are checking Davison's computer to find out the reason behind the incident.
The police have appealed to the people not to upload the footage immediately after the incident on the internet media. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Twitter: 'My thoughts are with the friends and family of those who lost their lives in the tragic incident in Plymouth on Thursday night. I would like to thank the emergency service.'
