Due to the breach in the data of the recently started airline Akasa Air, a case of unauthorized access to the information of the users has come to the fore.  Akasa Air, which started operations on August 7 last, has apologized to its customers for the disturbance and has itself informed CERT-In about the matter.

The airline has clarified that apart from this information, no other information related to travel or information about travel records and payment has been disclosed.

Let us tell you that its first flight was virtually flagged off by Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.  Akasa Air is the airline company of the country's famous investor and stock broker late Rakesh Jhunjhunwala.  Scindia flagged off the first commercial flight of Akasa Air from Mumbai which flew to Ahmedabad.  The business of Akasa Air is being looked after by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, along with airline giants Aditya Ghosh and Vinay Dubey.  This company got the approval to fly on 7 July from the Directorate of Civil Aviation ie DGCA.  Exactly a month after this, that is, on 7 August, the first flight took off.  Akasa's first commercial flight was named Mumbai-Ahmedabad.

Scindia had said that Akasa Air is welcome in this new environment.  The kind of boom that is seen in road and rail transport, the same development will be seen in the aviation industry in the coming times.  Akasa plans to fly 72 aircraft in the next 5 years, so that the entire country can be covered by Akasa's flight.  In praise of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Scindia said that he has always been an innovative idea and the same will be seen in Akasa.
