The company said in a statement that from August 7, 28 weekly flights are commencing on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route, for which ticket sales have been started.

Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Akash Air said, "We are starting operations with flights between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. He said, under the network expansion plans, we will be connecting cities in a phased manner. In the first year, we will add two planes every month to our fleet. Akash Air got the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on July 7. (input language)
