Russia-Ukraine War: Rocket attack on Mayor's office in Donetsk, several buildings damaged; accuse Ukraine

The mayor's office in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk was hit by a rocket on Sunday morning. However, according to preliminary information, no casualty has been reported. The municipal building in Donetsk has been badly damaged by rocket attack.

The mayor's office in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk was hit by a rocket on Sunday morning. However, according to preliminary information, no casualty has been reported. The Russian state news agency RIA reported that a municipal building in Donetsk was badly damaged by the rocket attack. At the same time, local separatist officials have accused Ukraine of this attack. Explain that Donetsk is controlled by pro-Kremlin separatists. 

Images of damage after the attack went viral

In the aftermath of the attack, photos going viral on social media showed plumes of smoke around the building, broken windows and a partially collapsed roof. RIA Novosti and local media reported that three cars were also burnt in the rocket attack. However, Kyiv did not immediately claim responsibility or comment on the attack. At the same time, Kremlin-backed separatist officials have blamed the attack on Ukraine, which often attacks with American rockets HIMARS. 

Firing on soldiers during exercise

Let us tell you that a day before this attack, two Russian men fired at Russian soldiers during an exercise at one of their military firing ranges near Ukraine, in which both, including 11 soldiers, were killed and 15 were injured. However, the Russian Defense Ministry called the incident a terrorist attack.

Accused of driving away civilians from the Luhans area

Simultaneously, Ukrainian troops on Sunday accused pro-Kremlin fighters of driving civilians out of Russian-held areas. He called it a violation of international humanitarian law. The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces said civilians were being evacuated to the Russian-held city of Rubizhne in the eastern Luhansk region, where Kyiv is retaliated.
