The US will provide $600 million in additional military aid to Ukraine. The State Department gave this information on Friday.
"I am authorizing our 21st drawdown of US weapons and equipment for Ukraine from September 2021," US State Secretary Antony Blinken said. The drawdown of $600 million includes additional weapons, munitions and equipment from the US Department of Defense.
The US military has provided about 15.8 billion USD to Ukraine since the beginning of this administration.
He said that along with allies and partners, the US is distributing weapons and equipment that Ukraine's military is effectively using, as they continue to respond against Russia's aggression.
