These meetings have been organized in the wake of Russia's horrific attack on Ukraine on Monday.

Sirens to warn against air strikes on Ukrainian cities continued for the third day

In Monday's attack, Russia fired more than 100 cruise missiles at ten cities in Ukraine within hours, killing 26 and injuring dozens. Ukraine's infrastructure has also been heavily damaged by the Russian attack. In these meetings, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's demand for additional military aid and air defense systems from allies will also be considered. The meeting is taking place amid the threat of an air strike on Ukraine. For the third day on Wednesday, sirens warning of air strikes on Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, sounded intermittently and frightened people fled and hid in bunkers.

The United States has promised to expedite the process of delivering the NASAMS air defense system to Ukraine. Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has said that Russian President Putin is the victim of a miscalculation of the consequences of the Ukraine war. Despite this, he does not think that Putin will order the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
