An army helicopter has crashed in the Machna forests of Madwa, a remote area of Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, in which two people have been injured. The helicopter that crashed is an ALH Dhruv helicopter of the Army. This army helicopter crashed during emergency landing due to technical fault.
According to information, the pilot and co-pilot of the helicopter informed the Air Traffic Controller (ATC) about a technical snag and proceeded for an emergency landing.
He tried to land the helicopter on the banks of the Marua river and during this the accident happened. Due to rough ground and unprepared landing, the helicopter could not land safely and it crashed. During this time the pilot, co-pilot as well as a technician were present in the helicopter.
Rescue started immediately
As soon as the army helicopter crashed, people were also sent for help with immediate effect. Immediately rescue operations were launched and Army rescue teams reached the spot. An immediate rescue operation was launched from the river bank.

Three people were injured
