The 68th National Film Awards was held at Gyan Bhawan, Delhi. Where President Draupadi Murmu honored all the winners with awards. Born on October 2, Asha Parekh will celebrate her 80th birthday this year. Asha Parekh expressed her happiness on receiving the National Award before her birthday and said that all her wishes have been fulfilled.

After receiving the award, the actress said in an interview to news agency ANI, "This award has come at such a time that it feels very good. It seems that all my wishes have just been fulfilledAt first I could not believe that I am getting this award, but now I really feel that I have got that award.

Let us inform that in the year 2020, a five-member committee decided to confer the Dadasaheb Phalke Award to Asha Parekh. These include Asha Bhosle, Hema Malini, Poonam Dhillon, Udit Narayan and TS Nagbharan.
Played different roles in many memorable films
Asha Parekh started acting as a child artist, but she started her career as a lead actress with Nasir Hussain's 1959 film Dil Deke Dekho. Shammi Kapoor was in the lead role with him in this film. In a career spanning over five decades, he acted in more than 95 films like Kati Patang, Teesri Manzil, Baharon Ke Sapne, Pyaar Ka Mausam and Caravan apart from Dil Deke Dekho.
