Britain's new Finance Minister Jeremy Hunt said Prime Minister Liz Truss's government made many mistakes. The situation in the financial market worsened due to his controversial tax cut plan. Due to this his predecessor was removed.

On Friday, British Prime Minister Liz Truss announced the appointment of former cabinet minister Jeremy Hunt as the new finance minister.

Earlier, Finance Minister Kwasi Kwarteng was sacked from the post. The move was taken to stem the turmoil in the economy due to the 'mini budget' proposing tax cuts late last month.

The term of the dismissed Kwarteng was only 38 days. In his resignation letter, Kwarteng wrote, 'As I have said many times, there is no substitute for the status quo. The country's growth rate has been affected for a long time, so change is necessary for success.

Explain that after the announcement of tax cuts, the exchange rate of the pound fell sharply. The cut proposals had an adverse effect on the market. The Bank of England took steps to deal with this.
