Blasphemy case came to light in Pakistan, mob thrashed supporter who compared Imran to Prophet, watch video

The victim of mob violence had compared Imran to Prophet Hazrat Muhammad at a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf rally on Saturday night.

In Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, a supporter of former Prime Minister Imran Khan was beaten to death by a frenzied mob accusing him of blasphemy.

In the video, many people are beating a person

In a video circulating on the internet media, several people can be seen thrashing a man.The lifeless body of a man in his 40s can be seen being dragged and mercilessly thrashed by a mob in Saval Dher area. The deceased has been identified as Maulana Nigar Alam.

Angry mob attacked the person

According to The Friday Times newspaper, Nigar Alam is accused of announcing to the crowd at a PTI rally that he respects PTI chairman Imran as a Hazrat because he is an honest man. Soon after his statement, the anger of the people gathered there flared up.

Police removed the crowd

Some people said that the police, who reached the spot, dispersed the crowd. Some Maulanas had demanded registration of a case against Nigar Alam on charges of blasphemy. International and Pakistani rights groups say the blasphemy charge is often used to target religious minorities and fuel personal enmity.
