Voting took place in Brazil in the presidential election on Sunday. Counting has also started after voting. Incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro is trailing his rival and former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva after a long and controversial election campaign. Lula made the lead

The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) said on its website that Lula had 45.7 percent of the valid votes, while Bolsonaro had 45.5% of the votes after 70 percent of the voting machines counted. Let us tell you that if no candidate is able to win by more than half the votes except for blank and defective ballot papers, then in two to four weeks the top two candidates will face each other in the second round of voting. 

Lula being considered the preferred candidate

Lula da Silva is being considered the most preferred candidate this time. Many Brazilians are voting despite their dislike. This is because they want to remove the current president. Lula served as president from 2003 to 2010.
