Cirkus Review: lack of comedy Rohit Shetty's 'Cirkus' star cast was not impressive as well
Cirkus review

Rohit Shetty is called the blockbuster director of Bollywood. He has given films like Golmaal series, Chennai Express, Singham, Suryavanshi and Simmba, which made a big splash at the box office. Once again he returned with his grand style and wide starcast. At the end of Christmas and year, his big budget film 'Circus' has also been released. But Rohit Shetty style film 'Circus' seems to miss in the matter of entertainment.

The magic that Rohit Shetty was able to create with 'Singham', 'Chennai Express' or 'Simmba', he is unable to do with 'Circus' and this comedy film falls flat at many places. The story is weak. Overall, despite being a hero with high power current in 'Circus', it blows the fuse of the brain.

Rohit Shetty's Circus is inspired by William Shakespeare's famous play Comedy of Errors. Gulzar has already made the film 'Angoor' on this. Now Rohit Shetty is making a film, so his style and touch remains in it. The story of the film begins with Jamnadas Orphan Ashram in Ooty.

Where there are two twins each. Then one day these twins are adopted. If two children go to a rich family, then the children become part of the family that runs the circus. But when these children collide with each other when they grow up, there is a flurry of confusion and confusion. This is the story of the film.

The factor to keep you tied in the story is missing. Things have been dragged unnecessarily. Many things look fake in the circle of grandeur.

The sets of the film also do not give the impression of being real. The era in which the story of 'Circus' is set, also does not come with originality. Overall, both the writing and treatment of the film prove to be average. Through too many characters, Rohit has failed to create his earlier magic.

Talking about acting, Ranveer Singh has tried well in double role. But he fails to make an impact. Pooja and Jacqueline have nothing much to do. All the other actors are there to add color as usual. But except Johnny Lever and Siddharth Jadhav, no one else is able to bring a smile on the face.

Circus story, presentation, acting and music is an average film on all fronts. Among the songs, only Deepika Padukone's 'Current Laga' remains in mind. Anyway, Rohit Shetty works beyond logic in films. Which the audience also likes. But here Rohit Shetty's magic is unable to work with the help of a weak story and the film falters on the laugh-tickling front.
