Taking a strict stand on this, Swati Maliwal on Friday issued a notice to Delhi Police and Delhi Metro to take strict action against this shameful act.

"A viral video has surfaced in which a man can be seen masturbating shamelessly in Delhi Metro. It is absolutely disgusting. I am issuing notice to Delhi Police and Delhi Metro to ensure the strictest possible action against this shameful act.

"She tweeted from her Twitter account. In the shocking video, the man can be seen reaching into his phone and then Can be seen masturbating, another female sitting next to him and clearly disturbed by the man's antics.

The video was shot by a fellow commuter. A few seats down in the same row, a man can be seen ignoring the perverted act, while the person shooting the video doesn't care to stop the accused from committing such a heinous act.

It's not the first time something like this has happened

This is not the first time that such a video of any indecent act or behavior in Delhi Metro has gone viral. Recently, a video of a woman wearing a bra and miniskirt traveling in Delhi Metro went viral.

The girl seen in the viral video is Rhythm Chanana, a resident of Fatehgarh Sahib city of Punjab. The girl comes from a traditional family, but doesn't get along with the family because of her open views.

Statement of Delhi Metro past events

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) later issued a statement urging commuters to follow "social etiquette and protocols accepted in the society".

The girl disagreed with DMRC and said that they have no videography policy inside trains. She added, "If they have a problem with my dress, they must have a problem with the people who shot it."
