FDI: Invitation to US industrialists to visit India; Piyush Goyal said- this is the best place to invest

Describing India as the best place for investment, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that the time has come for both India and the US to engage in areas of mutual interest. Addressing businessmen at the US India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), the Union Minister on Monday said that together the two countries can promote global security, stability and supply chain. US-India relations offer many competitive advantages. The flexibility of our supply chains is the talent India makes available to the US and the US invests in India. All these together make a good trading system between the two countries.

Invited investors to come to India

Union Minister Goyal said that India is a place which no investor would like to leave today. There are over a billion hopes here. With this he emphasized that we have to corporate in all such areas where our mutual interests are aligned.

Foreign investment in india

Between the first quarter (April-June) of this financial year, there has been an investment of $ 16.59 billion in India. Whereas in the same period last fiscal year, there was an investment of $ 17.56 billion. According to official data released in May, some $83.57 billion was invested in the country in fiscal year 2021-22.

FDI policy investor friendly

The government keeps on making important changes from time to time by reviewing the FDI policy, so that India remains an attractive place for investors. In the recent past, the government has eased FDI norms in coal mining, contract manufacturing, digital media, retail, aviation, defense and telecom sectors.
