Google got a setback in the antitrust case, fined 4.155 billion dollars
The top court's decision against Google is being seen as a major victory for European law on the technology company. According to IANS, a US court has approved a comprehensive antitrust lawsuit against Google.

South Korea's privacy watchdog has jointly fined tech giants Google and Meta about 100 billion WAN (about $72 million). Both companies are accused of monitoring consumers' online activities without their permission and using the information gathered during this period for targeted advertising. This is the largest fine ever imposed by South Korea in a privacy law violation case.
Meta can challenge this decision in court
The Personal Information and Protection Commission said it fined Google 69.2 billion WAN (about $50 million) and Meta 30.8 billion WAN (about $22 million). The regulator took this action after a meeting with the executives of the companies, in which they acknowledged that these business practices could be a serious breach of privacy. Meta Internet Media Platform is the parent company of Facebook and Instagram. Both the companies have expressed dissatisfaction with the action of the commission. META has also indicated to challenge the decision in court.
EU court also gave a blow to Google
A top court of the European Union (EU) has also given a big blow to Google. The court has upheld the 4 billion euro fine imposed by antitrust promoters in 2018 against Google's Android mobile operating system. The General Court of the European Court of Justice said on Wednesday that a fine of 4.125 billion euros ($4.15 billion) would be appropriate for Google, which is slightly less than the actual fine (4.34 billion euros). Action is taken under antitrust law in cases of violation of business rules and suppression of competition in the market.
Google trying to monopolize the market
