A major plane accident was averted in the US on Sunday (February 2). A United Airlines plane caught fire while taking off from Houston Airport. The plane was about to take off from Houston's George Bush International Airport to New York when one of its wings caught fire.
There were 104 passengers on board the plane
As soon as the fire was seen in the plane, the plane was immediately stopped on the runway. The passengers were evacuated from the plane. The Houston Fire Department says that no one was injured in this incident. According to the New York Post report, there were 104 passengers and five crew members on board the plane.
Many passengers have also shared this incident. It can be seen in the video that as soon as the passengers came to know that one wing of the plane has caught fire, the tension of the passengers increased a lot.
A plane crashed in Philadelphia
Earlier, a small plane carrying two people crashed near a shopping mall in Philadelphia, USA. Six people are reported to have died in this incident. The Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper quoted police as saying the accident occurred around 6 pm.
Several houses and cars have caught fire in this plane crash. The plane fell on these houses. The Philadelphia Emergency Management Office confirmed on social media that a "major incident" had occurred in the area of the alleged accident, but no other details were given.
Earlier on Friday, a plane crashed near a mall in Philadelphia. Seven people were killed and 19 were injured in this accident.
