IND vs AUS: Kl Rahul removed from India vice-captaincy post, management's faith continues despite his consistent poor batting

India may have got a big win over Australia in the Delhi Test after Nagpur, but the lack of top order still remains the biggest concern for the team. Before the Delhi Test, the Indian team management had to grapple with many questions.

Especially KL Rahul's absence and Shubman Gill's absence despite being in form, the team management has to give clarification time and again for not giving him a chance. Now Rahul is flopping in Delhi also. He scored 17 runs in the first innings and one in the second innings. In such a situation, once again the demand to bring back Shubman Gill in the Playing-11 has started to arise.

Team management's trust on Rahul

Before the Delhi Test, it was believed that this would be Rahul's last chance to cement his place in the longest format. However, despite a series of poor batting and flop shows, the team management continues to have faith in him.

After the match, coach Rahul Dravid in the post match presentation ceremony and captain Rohit Sharma in the post match press conference have expressed their confidence and support in Rahul. Both of them have said in their respective statements to give Rahul another chance.

What did Dravid say after the match?

After the match, coach Dravid said- I think Rahul needs to trust his processes. It's just a bad time. He has been one of our most successful overseas openers. He has scored centuries in South Africa and England. We will continue to support them. I believe Rahul has the quality and class to come out of this. It is great to work with this playing-11.

Talking about the form of KL Rahul, this batsman has failed to score runs for some time now. In the last 10 Test innings, Rahul has been able to score only 125 runs. During this, he has not scored a single half-century. Rahul scored his last half-century in Test against South Africa in January 2022. Rahul had scored the last century in Test against South Africa in December 2021.

Not only Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli's bat is also not working. After the failure of the top order in the last several Test matches, the middle order and lower order have rescued the Indian team. Captain Rohit's century in the Nagpur Test was a relief to the team. At the same time, Akshar Patel and Ashwin had taken India to a good score in Delhi.
