IPL 2023: Delhi Capitals may release Shardul Thakur and 4 other players, know the reason

Let us tell you that by November 15, all the IPL teams have to submit the list of their released players to the BCCI. According to news agency PTI, the IPL franchise can release five players including Delhi Capitals, fast bowler Shardul Thakur, New Zealand's Tim Seifert. All IPL teams have to submit the list of retained players before 15 November.
According to sources, Delhi will release KS Bharat, Mandeep Singh and Ashwin Hebbar apart from Shardul and Seifert. Shardul was bought by Delhi in the last auction for Rs 10.75 crore. The fast bowler took 15 wickets in 14 matches and conceded runs at the rate of about 10 runs per over. The team of Capitals also wanted to trade Shardul with other teams, but things did not work out. Meanwhile, the team has decided to retain the captain of the Under-19 World Cup winning team, Yash Dhul. However, Dhul did not get a chance to play a single match in the last season.
Doeschate appointed KKR coach
Former Netherlands captain Ryan ten Doeschate has been appointed as the fielding coach by Kolkata Knight Riders. Doschett, 42, was a member of the KKR team that won the trophy in 2012 and 2014. He will replace fielding coach James Foster, who has been appointed assistant coach of the team. Both of them will work under the head coach Chandrakant Patil
An IPL source told PTI, “Shardul is a premium all-rounder but his price tag was an issue. The others who are ready to be released are Ashwin Hebbar, Mandeep, Seifert and Bharat. New Zealand batsman Seifert will have the option of going back to the auction pool, having played only two matches for Delhi earlier this year in which he scored 24 runs. Punjab's experienced batsman Mandeep Singh scored a total of 18 runs in the three matches he played for the team. He did not get to play much in the last season 2021 as well.
