Violence sparked by the death of a Palestinian prisoner

Israel attacks Gaza with tank fire. The army said on Tuesday it was carrying out airstrikes on Gaza. According to security sources and Palestinian witnesses, several sites were targeted in these attacks.

The Israeli army also attacked Hamas territory. Khader Adnan was detained by Israel for his links to the Islamic Jihad terrorist group.

He was in Israeli captivity for about three months. After which he died on the previous day. Due to the death of Adnan, violence broke out between the two.

Gaza fired more than 35 rockets at Israel

Israeli officials said Gaza had been under constant attack on Israel since Adnan's death. In response to which Israel has retaliated.

The army claimed that more than 35 rockets were fired into southern Israel, injuring several people. According to Beijing's Xinhua News Agency, a Chinese employee was injured in the attack.
