Talking to Business Today, a fresher who joined the company in August 2022 said, 'I started working in Infosys in August last year and I was trained for SAP ABAP stream. Out of 150 people in my team, only 60 people passed the fresher assessment exam, rest of us all were terminated 2 weeks back. Out of 150 freshers from the last batch (freshers on boarded in July 2022), around 85 freshers were terminated after failing the test.”
600 freshers were fired
According to sources, Infosys has fired 600 employees after failing in the internal test. 2 weeks ago, 208 freshers were fired after failing in the fresher assessment test. In the last few months, a total of about 600 freshers lost their jobs after failing in the Fresher Assessment Test.
Infosys Q3 Results: Net profit up 3.2 percent to Rs 5,360 crore
Recently Infosys released its third quarter results. The company had said that its consolidated net profit rose 3.2 per cent to Rs 5,360 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year, which was less than the market estimates. Its net profit was Rs 5,195 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
