There has been a massive firing in a school in Russia. At least 13 people were killed and more than 20 were injured in the firing. 7 children are also among the dead. The Russian Interior Minister has given this information by issuing a statement.

The news agency Reuters reported that the incident took place at a school in the Izhevsk area. According to the information, an unidentified gunman entered the school and suddenly opened fire. The gunman also killed the security guard. After carrying out the firing incident, the gunman killed himself by shooting himself. The body of the attacker has been recovered. 

7 children, 2 teachers included among the dead

Russia's investigative committee said the attacker killed 13 people before committing suicide. Five 7, two teachers and two security guards are also included among the dead.

Police engaged in investigation of incident

The police reached the spot after the firing incident. the matter is being investigated. The reason for committing the crime could not be ascertained. Also the identity of the attacker could not be ascertained.

Cases occurred even before shooting in school

In the past few years, there have been several cases of shootings in schools in Russia. In May last year, a teenager shot and killed nine people, including seven children, at a school in Kazan. In April this year, two children and a teacher were killed by a gunman after breaking into a kindergarten. After the incident, the accused committed suicide.
