Recently, Seven Screen Studios production company shared a picture of Sanjay Dutt from the film and wrote, "We are honored to welcome Sanjay Dutt sir to Tamil cinema and we are happy to announce that he will be playing Thalapathy. 

7 Screen Studios' Thalapathy 67 will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film will feature Thalapathy Vijay, Sanjay Dutt and Trisha Krishnan. The film is produced by SS Lalit Kumar
