The Little Mermaid: The first poster of Disney's 'The Little Mermaid' released, the film will hit theaters on this day

The first poster of Disney's 'The Little Mermaid' has been released. It is a live-action reimagining of the Oscar-winning animated musical classic movie from Disney Star Studios. Filmmaker Rob Marshall is directing the film. It will release in cinemas on May 26, 2023. Starring Hayley Bailey, the film is garnering a lot of buzz even before its release.

The film's lead actress Hayley Bailey shared the first poster of 'The Little Mermaid' on her Twitter handle. Sharing the first poster, Bailey wrote on Twitter, "Words can't describe how honored I am to play the mermaid of my dreams." The film follows the story of King Triton's youngest daughter, Ariel, who rescues a human, Prince Eric. Interestingly, she falls in love with him. Ariel's adventures then form the basis of the story of a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. 

Jane Goldman and David Magee have written the remake of 'The Little Mermaid'. It will also play the title soundtrack with four new songs composed by Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda. There are many big stars in the film, who have lent their voices to the characters.
