The question of security of Kabul airport, Turkey's conditions not acceptable to America; Know - the whole matter
For the security of Kabul airport, America wants Turkey to take over the security of Kabul airport, but America does not seem to agree to the money and diplomatic and logistic assistance Turkey is asking from it.
The United States has begun taking civilians from Afghanistan who had previously been working as local staff and interpreters for the US military stationed there. America fears that they will be killed as soon as the Taliban take over Afghanistan. Their number is about 1300. Along with them, their families will also be given asylum in America.
In fact, the city has grown rapidly since the Taliban was driven out of Kabul two decades ago. The population here is estimated to be around 50 lakhs. The country's only international airport is in Kabul. However, there is no movement of more than 25 planes in a day. Nevertheless, the security of Kabul airport will become a challenge after the US and its allies from NATO countries have evacuated Afghanistan by September 11. It is noteworthy that on June 14, the summit of this military organization was held at the headquarters of NATO located in Brussels, the capital of Belgium. During that time, US President Joe Biden spoke to the President of Turkey, the only Muslim member of NATO, Edergan about the security of Kabul airport.
Biden wanted Turkey to protect Kabul airport. Edergan indicated that he was prepared in principle for this, but that he would also have some conditions of his own. Negotiations are going on on these terms. The first condition is that Turkey, despite being a member of the NATO alliance, in defiance of NATO rules, has to lift the sanctions imposed on it by the US Parliament due to the missile defense system, called the S-400, purchased from Russia in July 2019. Regarding the second main condition, it is being said in the Arab media that Edergan wants to send such mercenary soldiers to Kabul, for which America will have to pay money. These soldiers are likely to be Syrian jihadists that Turkey has been using to fight the Kurds in northern Syria. Turkey wants three thousand dollars per person monthly from America for these hired ponies. The European member states of NATO want to get rid of this evil no matter what.
Turkey's army is the second largest army after the US among the total 30 member countries of NATO. As a member of NATO, Turkey has already deployed 500 of its soldiers in Afghanistan. But at the same time he has been avoiding any confrontation with Taliban fighters throughout. Turkey sees the Kabul airport security contract as an opportunity to increase its penetration in the Islamic world as well as a ploy to keep NATO member states bored with the name Afghanistan happy. It is no secret that Turkish President Edregan Sunni has ambitions to snatch the leadership of the Islamic world from Saudi Arabia and become a new caliph. Turkey's long presence in Kabul also sees many benefits from a geopolitical point of view. Along with Afghanistan, Turkish influence will increase in Pakistan and India will remain a mere spectator.
Although talks are still going on between Turkey and the US on the question of Kabul airport security, no decision has been reached. America wants Turkey to take charge of the security of Kabul airport, but America does not seem to agree to the money and diplomatic and logistics assistance Turkey is asking from it.
