These MBBS students who returned from these countries including Ukraine will be able to become doctors in India, NMC approved FMGE

Due to the ongoing war with Russia, the career of many MBBS students who came back from Ukraine to India will be saved from being ruined.  These medical students could not complete their studies due to Russia Ukraine War, now these medical students will be able to become doctors in India.  The same thing will apply to those students who could not complete their medical studies from China or other countries due to Kovid 19 and had to return.  This is possible due to a decision of the National Medical Commission.  The National Medical Commission i.e. NMC has given permission to these students to appear in the FMGE exam.  But with one condition.

In this regard, NMC has also issued a notice on the official website nmc.org.in.  You can read the notice by clicking on the link given next in this news.

FMGE Exam: What is the condition

The National Medical Commission has said that students who were in the final year of MBBS course but could not complete their studies due to Covid 19 or Russia Ukraine war or any other reason, they can appear for Foreign Medical Graduate Exam to practice in India.  Huh.  However, these students should have obtained the certificate or degree of the course by their institution abroad on or before 30 June 2022.  Apart from this, after passing the FMG exam for these students, they will have to complete a compulsory internship of two years.

According to the rules, students have to complete this internship only where they have studied MBBS.  But in the current situation, it is not possible for these students to go back to those countries and do internships.  Therefore, in view of the order given by the Supreme Court on 29 April 2022, NMC has approved to complete the internship in India itself.

After clearing the FMG exam, when these candidates have completed two years of Medical Rotating Internship, only then they will be able to register for medical practice.  NMC has said that due to circumstances, this exemption has been given only for one reason.
