Affordable model of Jeep Compass launched? Price starts from around Rs 24 lakh
The Jeep Compass with automatic gearbox was earlier limited to only 4x4 variants. Jeep is aiming to target customers with this launch who are looking for the convenience of an automatic gearbox but don't want 4x4 hardware. To fulfill the wishes of those customers, the company has launched this vehicle.

Jeep has launched the Compass 2WD diesel with automatic transmission at Rs 23.99 lakh. Along with this new powertrain option, Jeep has also updated the Compass with a new grille and alloy wheel design. The American SUV brand previously refreshed the Compass line-up in India with the Compass facelift in 2021.
Jeep Compass 2WD Variant
Jeep offers the updated Compass in five trims – Sport, Longitude, Longitude+, Limited and Model S. The Sport trim remains the entry-spec model and is only offered with a diesel-manual powertrain. The manual version has also seen a drop in price; Now its price is Rs 20.49 lakh.

Equipped with 9-speed gearbox
There is a new Longitude trim, which gets a manual and a 9-speed automatic gearbox, making it the new entry level vehicle in the Compass automatic range, with the diesel automatic having a claimed mileage of 16.2kpl.

Even though this is an economical variant of Jeep Compass, the company has given a lot of features in it. Features like panoramic sunroof and wireless charging are likely to be available in the Longitude+ variant. The SUV will also be available in Limited and Limited Black Shark Edition trims.
