Roger Binny, who was a member of the World Cup team in the year 1983, has filed his nomination for the post of BCCI President. It is expected that on October 18, Roger Binny is going to take over as the BCCI President. Meanwhile, during a conversation with Ayaz Memon during the media program 'Meet the Media Program' at the Press Club of Mumbai, former India coach Ravi Shastri said that Roger was part of the 1983 World Cup team with me. I am very happy that he is going to be the BCCI President. He is a World Cup winner. 

He said, 'For the first time in history, a player from the World Cup winning team is going to become the BCCI President. You can't question their working style. He has all the qualifications to get this post.

If Roger Binny becomes the BCCI President, he will replace former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly. The elections will be held for the post of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Joint Secretary. Elections will be held on October 18. If Binny wins the presidential election, he will become the 36th BCCI President. 

According to the news agency PTI, a few days ago, former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly held a meeting with the BCCI officials. Sourav Ganguly is keen to become the BCCI President once again. However, he said that according to the BCCI rules, he cannot become the BCCI President for the second time. Let us tell you that a proposal was made to become the chairman of IPL in front of the former captain but he ignored the offer.
