Taliban's main rival is IS Khorasan province

Mujahid further informed that several other IS members, including foreign nationals planning deadly attacks in Afghanistan, have been detained in recent days. The Islamic State (ISKP) Khorasan Province, a regional affiliate of the Islamic State group, is considered a major rival of the Taliban. The Taliban captured Afghanistan on 15 August 2021, after which the IS group has been continuously attacking the Taliban.

IS has carried out several attacks in Afghanistan recently.

IS militants were targeted by Taliban security forces in Kabul and western Nimroz province. All these terrorists had attacked Kabul's Longan Hotel, Pakistan Embassy and Military Airport.

The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the deadly bombing near a checkpoint at the military airport in the Afghan capital. IS said the attack was carried out by the same terrorist responsible for the Longan Hotel attack in mid-December. Let us inform that a few days back a Chinese owned hotel in Kabul was attacked. After this attack, China had instructed its citizens to leave Afghanistan.
