Indian-origin UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman met local police officers, Hindu and Muslim community leaders in Leicester. He assured that the culprits involved in the recent communal clashes would be brought to justice at any cost. Such criminals will have to face the strictness of the law. It is to be known that so far 47 accused have been arrested in the legal action being taken regarding these clashes. 

Tension flared up after cricket match

During a visit to eastern England on Thursday, the Indian-origin cabinet minister was briefed by the police chief of Leicestershire, local temples and mosques about the recent serious disturbances, news agency PTI reported. It is known that after the India-Pakistan cricket match at the end of last month, communal tension had arisen in some parts of Britain. This tension continued till the end of this week.
