Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday took the credentials of ambassadors of 70 countries, including India's Ambassador Pradeep Kumar Rawat and US Ambassador Robert Nicholas Burns. Let us inform that Rawat was appointed as Indian Ambassador to China only after the ongoing tension with China in East Ladakh.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said in his address at the meeting with the ambassadors that 'China is ready to strengthen its relations with the countries of the world and these relations will be based on equality and mutual benefit. Jinping told the ambassadors present at the event that he hoped that all ambassadors would deeply understand China and serve as a bridge of mutual cooperation and friendship.

The Chinese President said that his government will help all ambassadors to fulfill their responsibilities. In the last three years, China has come a long way in the fight against Corona and in this process, China also got help from many countries. He said that China is on the path of building a modern socialist country and promoting national rejuvenation for modernization.

Who is Pradeep Rawat

Pradeep Rawat is a 1990 batch Foreign Service officer. Prior to Rawat, Vikram Misri was India's ambassador to China. Rawat was earlier holding the post of India's ambassador to the Netherlands but in March 2022 he was made ambassador to China. Rawat can speak Mandarin fluently and has also served as Indian Ambassador to China and Hong Kong earlier.
