At the same time, he scored a hat-trick in the Commonwealth Games. He won the silver medal in the Commonwealth Games in 2014, followed by the gold medal in 2018 and 2022.
Mirabai won gold medal
Mirabai Chanu, who represented India in the 49 kg weight category, tried and succeeded in lifting 84 kg in her first attempt of the snatch round. In the second attempt, she tried to lift the weight of 88 kg and was successful in that too. This was his best effort at the international level and he made a new record. For the third time she accepted the challenge of lifting 90 kg and but she was successful in it. He also made a new record in his weight category at the Commonwealth Games by lifting a weight of 88 kg. She managed to lift 172 kg in the snatch round.
In the very first attempt of the clean and jerk round, Mirabai secured the gold medal for India by lifting the reason of 109 kg. In the second attempt, she easily lifted the weight of 113 kg, while in the third attempt she could not succeed in lifting the weight of 115 kg. In the clean and jerk rounds, he created a new record by lifting the weight of 222 kg and created history. She was the gold medal winner last time and she was successful in defending it. In this event, he lifted a total of 201 kg in Snatch and Clean and Jerk.
Mirabai has won silver medal in Tokyo Olympics
Mirabai Chanu has added another new chapter of success in her career. Even before this, he had earned more than one success for India. The biggest achievement of Mirabai Chanu's career so far has been winning the silver medal in the 49 kg weight category at the Tokyo Olympics. Chanu's success story is a long one with sometimes important milestones. In the year 2017, he won the gold medal for India in the 48 kg weight category at the World Championships.
Mirabai had made the country proud for India by winning the bronze medal in the 49 kg weight category at the Asian Championships in Tashkent in the year 2020. He won a silver medal for India at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games and a gold medal for the country in 2018 at the Gold Coast. At the same time, in the Commonwealth Championship, he won gold in the year 2013, gold in 2017, gold in 2019 and silver in 2015.
