The situation in Ukraine continued to worsen after Russia announced military action on Thursday. Seeing this, the concerns of the Government of India have also started increasing. A large number of Indian students are stranded in Ukraine, which are being airlifted for the last few days, but still a large number of students and civilians are stranded there. Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Ukraine has appealed to Indian citizens to stay where they are. India's Ambassador to Ukraine Partha Satpathy said that our embassy is open and working continuously. The airspace has been closed due to the war, due to which special flights have been affected. In this situation, I appeal to all Indian citizens here in Ukraine to stay where you are. At the same time, the Indian Embassy in Kiev has written a letter to the Ukrainian government for the safety of Indian students in the country.

He said that till every Indian from Ukraine reaches back to India, the Indian Embassy will continue to work here. He further said, we are in touch with the administration here. The Government of India, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy are on full alert in view of the situation and are making efforts to rescue the stranded Indian nationals here.

At the same time, the Ministry of External Affairs says that teams of the Ministry of External Affairs are being sent to the land borders with Ukraine in Hungary, Poland, Slovak Republic and Romania to assist in the evacuation of Indian nationals from Ukraine.
