The Income Tax Department is conducting raids at many places in the country for alleged fake donations and tax evasion. This raid is being conducted against Unrecognized Political Parties (RUPP). This raid of the IT department is going on in many states of the country including Delhi, Rajasthan. There is a case of tax evasion and fraudulent donations against these Unrecognized Political Parties (RUPP). Due to this the team of Income Tax Department is conducting raids. 

Sources said that the search operation is also being conducted in some other states of the country including Gujarat, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana. The team of IT department is also raiding the premises of the businessmen of Chhattisgarh. 

In Lucknow, the Income Tax Department team has reached the residence of Gopal Rai, the head of the Rashtriya Krantikari Samajwadi Party. According to sources, Rai is running several NGOs. Income Tax Department officials are probing cases related to tax evasion. 

Meanwhile, news agency PTI quoted sources as saying that a coordinated action has been initiated by the Income Tax Department against unrecognized political parties and their affiliated entities, operators and others.

The Election Commission had removed 87 institutions of several political parties from the RUPP

This action is believed to have been taken by the Income Tax Department on the recommendation of the Election Commission (EC). During the recent verification by the Election Commission, 87 entities belonging to several political parties were removed from the list of RUPP

Election Commission found rigging in the registration of political parties

The Election Commission had announced that it is taking action against over 2100 registered unrecognized political parties. who are violating the rules and electoral laws. The Election Commission had charged these political parties and institutions with regard to filing monetary contributions and failing to update their addresses and names of office bearers. Also, the Election Commission had said that some of these parties were involved in serious financial irregularities. 

Raid in the house of businessmen of Chhattisgarh

Businessmen of Chhattisgarh are also involved in this action of income tax. A team has raided different places in Raipur and Raigad on Wednesday morning. These include a steel and liquor trader. According to the information received, raids have been conducted at his Aishwarya Kingdom house and other places simultaneously. In this, a team of more than 50 officers of Raipur is involved.
