Launch date of Mercedes-Benz GLB and EQB SUV revealed

Mercedes-Benz GLB, EQB SUV: Luxury vehicle manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is about to launch two of its new vehicles in India. These include the Benz GLB and EQB SUV, which are said to be brought on December 2. On one hand the Mercedes GLB is going to come with three variants. On the other hand, the EQB will be the company's first 7-seater all-electric SUV in India.
For information, let us tell you that the booking of both these luxury vehicles has started. Interested customers can book them by paying token money of Rs 1.5 lakh.
Features of Mercedes-Benz EQB
The upcoming Mercedes Benz EQB EV is based on the already existing ICE-engined GLB car. Its powertrain options include the EQB 300 and EQB 350, which use a 66.5kWh battery. The EQB 300 variant makes 228hp of power, while the EQB 350 variant is capable of producing 292hp of power. Also, both variants have been claimed to give a range of up to 419km.
Talking about the price, it can be launched in India in the range of Rs 80 lakh. However, there is talk of bringing a variant of it in the country which will be fully imported.
Mercedes GLB will start with three variants
The Mercedes GLB is already present overseas and was being tested in India since 2018. But now it is being launched. In India, it will come with variants like the entry-level GLB 200, mid-spec GLB 220d and the top-of-the-line GLB 220d 4Matic. These variants will be sold with a single Progressive Line exterior package.
As a powertrain, the GLB SUV is based on the MFA2 platform. The GLB 200 model will come with a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine that will be capable of producing 163hp of power. At the same time, the GLB 220d will be available with a 2.0-litre engine, 190hp powerplant and eight-speed automatic transmission. The GLB 220d AMG will get a single-slat AMG-themed grille and 19-inch AMG five-spoke alloy wheels.
Mercedes GLB is said to be launched in the range of Rs 50 lakh in India. After launch, it will compete with vehicles like Tucson and Meridian.
