Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi has launched its first electric car SU7. Xiaomi SU7 is going to compete with Tesla and BYD's EVs in the global market. Xiaomi has launched the SU7 electric car at a starting price of 215,900 Yuan (approximately Rs 24.90 lakh), which is cheaper than the Tesla Model 3 in China.

When will delivery start?

The latest EV maker has said that it will start delivering the SU7 to its customers from this month. This electric car has already been displayed in many showrooms in China, attracting potential buyers. The tech giant unveiled the SU7 publicly for the first time at the Mobile World Congress held earlier this year.

Specifications of Xiaomi SU7

Xiaomi has introduced SU7 EV in four variants. These include an entry-level variant, Pro variant and Max variant along with Limited Founder Edition. The SU7 is a 4-door electric sedan with a length of 4997 mm, width of 1963 mm, height of 1455 mm and a wheelbase of 3000 mm. Apart from this, 19-inch alloy wheels are provided as standard in all variants.

Performance and top speed

The top-end Max variant of the Xiaomi SU7 EV can hit a top speed of 265 kmph. Apart from this, it can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 2.78 seconds and can provide a range of up to 810 km on a single charge.

Battery and Charging

Its entry-level variant has a 73.6 kWh battery pack. The top-of-the-line variant gets a larger 101 kWh battery pack. According to the tech giant, the battery will give a range of at least 700 kilometers on a single charge. The EV maker is also expected to launch a larger 150 kWh battery pack next year, which promises a range of 1200 km.

This electric car can support ultra fast charging. Xiaomi claims that its 486V architecture is capable of providing the EV with a range of up to 350 kilometers with just 15 minutes of charging.
