Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d launched in India; Read price, features and new details

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the GLE 300d 4Matic AMG in the Indian market. This AMG Line variant will replace the 300d entry-level diesel variant and has been brought with AMG-specific cosmetic updates. Let's know what new features will be seen in it.

What's new in Mercedes GLE 300d 4Matic AMG?

It has 20-inch AMG alloy wheels finished in Tremolite Grey. It has a larger disc brake at the front compared to the outgoing model. At the same time, it has an AMG front apron with chrome trim strip and diffusor-look insert in black and an AMG rear apron with trim strip in chrome.

Not only this, it has a diamond-grill with three-pointed star pattern, painted in matte dark grey with chrome insert and black surround. At the same time, there is a sportier air inlet at the front and an AMG side skirt painted in the color of the vehicle. For this, you will have to pay Rs 1.2 lakh extra as compared to the GLE 300d.

How powerful is the engine of Mercedes GLE 300d 4Matic AMG

The new 300d 4Matic AMG Line variant has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, which generates 269hp and 550Nm of peak torque. It has a 48V mild-hybrid integrated starter-generator, which produces an additional 20hp and 200Nm of torque in peak output. Its engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The company claims that the diesel GLE accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.9 seconds and its top speed is 230 kmph.

What is the price in India

The ex-showroom price of GLE 300d 4Matic AMG in India ranges from Rs 97.85 lakh to Rs 1.15 crore. In India, it will compete with BMW X5, Audi Q7, Lexus RX and Volvo XC90. It has been designed keeping your comfort in mind.
