Mithun will work in a Bengali film
Apart from Gunda, Pratigya, Shaath and Cheetah, he has worked in many superhit films, which people still like today. In his interview to ETimes, Mithun Chakraborty said on his return to Bengali cinema that he has worked in more than 370 films so far, but whenever it is the first day of shooting, I get very nervous at that time. I am very excited to do a Bengali film. Because there is shooting in Kolkata, many memories are also missing.
Mithun started thinking about suicide
Mithun was asked what was the worst phase of your career and how did you come back from it? In response to this question, Mithun Chakraborty said, 'I often do not talk much on this, and there is no particular phase that I want to add. They do not talk on those Struggle days because they deviate an artist from the direction. Everyone goes through a phase of struggle, but my struggle was too much. Sometimes it seemed that I would never be able to reach the goal that I had envisioned. I even thought about suicide. I did not come back to Kolkata for a long time due to some reasons. But my opinion is not to end your life without fighting. I am a born fighter and I don't know how to fail. And see where I am today.
Comment on South vs Bollywood movies
Regarding the ongoing debate about Southverse Bollywood, Mithun Chakraborty said, 'Watch films like Pushpa, RRR and KGF 2. How did she become such a big hit? Because people related to his story and there was a mass appeal in it. I love that these are films like larger than life which I used to do in the 80s and 90s. The important thing is that you have to play that way. The superstardom of South's superstars Ram Charan, Yash, Jr NTR or Allu Arjun was used with a great timing in these films. This is the reason why people liked his films.
